Private Journal of Edward Lewis Goodwin from October 1877 to January 1, 1881. He notes in a postscript at the end of the journal that since his last entry, he has married "my darling Maria" and he's not sure if he will continue recording his life and "I know not what disposition I shall make of my journals...."
