Scope and Contents
Written by a young girl to her aunt. Learning all she can at school. Mother is well. Bettie came back home with a new dress. Talks about her teacher. She is kind although not thought of as much as the former teacher. Personally believes that there is no difference between two teachers. Studies grammar, arithmetic, geography, spelling, and writing. Bettie and Billie/Ellie (sp?) send their love as well as mother. Talks of school matters, in particular a five dollar prize, an exhibit, and the last day of school.
