The following excerpts were provided by the seller: "Went to the Grange picnic. In the evening Hazel and V. B. and Walter Wright and I went to camp meeting. Took supper at the Watson House. Dandy time…….Bertha and I went to Erie on the evening train….Bertha, Jessie, Matt and I were over town through Soldier’s home, library and St. Patrick’s Church. In the evening Jessie and I were over to Mr. Stewarts and down the street…..Went to pioneer picnic with Riley Bollard in the afternoon. Bertha, Ma and I went to church in the evening. Nellie Williams was taken sick with the typhoid fever, last place she ever went……Was over to Kate Louk’s. Mrs. Mc Namara died. Found dead in bed, heart failure…..Bertha, Florence and I went to the lake. Went on the afternoon train, came back on the eleven o’clock. Was with Henry Hall in the evening……Florence, Charley and I were down to Waldameer and Four Mile Creek in the afternoon. Took in two shows also, got back at twelve o’clock. Lovely day." Flo, Edd and I were over to Springboro at Mr. McCoy’s. Flo and I had our fortunes told. Fair day….Jessie and Rose went home. Bertha went back with them. An automobile party from Ashtabula were out to Conneautville and Springboro in the afternoon. Had a fine time. Very warm day…..Ross Davis of Louisville was killed by the train….Mother, Bertha and I was up to Aunt Mattie’s in Erie. Had a dandy time. Had our pictures taken. Took the 7 o’clock car back down at the club. Staid over at the club until 12 o’clock…..Was up to Aunt Matt’s. In the evening Bertha, Chas, and I went to the Alpha Theatre. Clarence S. didn’t come on account of the storm….Bertha, Homer and I went to the Pioneer picnic. Came home and took supper and Homer and I went to the moonlight excursion at Conneaut Lake. Had a very pleasant time. Got back home at one o’clock. Beautiful day. Very cool and no dust…. Went to Springboro. Stayed all night to Dr. Sheldon’s. Had a musical concert. In the evening was up to Mr. McCoy’s and had our fortunes told…..In the evening Bertha and I went to the school entertainment and took in the dance also! Dandy evening. Met Lester Inman from Homestead…..Mr. Howard Campbell and Bessie Murphy were married. Bertha Homer and I went to Erie and Heard Billy Sunday in the afternoon and evening. Cloudy Day…… Friday morning Lotta and Jesse, Mrs. And Mrs. Marshall, Homer and I went to Rock Springs Park, West Virginia. Left at 7:15 got to East Liverpool 11:30 and took the car from Liverpool up to the park. A very delightful time. Beautiful Park at West Va. Dandy Day"
