Letter addressed to “My dear Sir” [The Rector of Lincoln] dated 6 April 1877, from Denmark Hill, SE stamped in red at top of page, written in black ink, scotch tape along one side, provides a reference for “a Scotch lady who is applying for the place of Lady Resident at Bedford College.”
