Including Photostat of typewritten copy, March 21, 1862, from Thomas Jonathan ("Stonewall") Jackson, Mount Jackson, Virginia, to Colonel and Bassett French, discussing the use of bayonets when firearms cannot be supplied. Including endorsement signed by S. bassett French, stating that he referred information to General Robert E. Lee.
