Scope and Contents
Letters from hometown and college female friends. Most letters are about the social activities of college students: dances, parties, mutual friends, college activities, sports, work activities, and future plans. He breaks up with Esther Wainwright in February, but it takes a few months for the relationship to end. He was attending the College of William and Mary during these months. The names of some of the girls are Esther W. Wainwright, Katherine Allen, Pollie, Doris, Polly Taylor (Lynchburg), Marion Portlock, and Cookie.
