Scope and Contents The marionettes include the following: One wooden marionette that was "imagined," but not used, in the work "In the Puppeteer's Wake" by Claudia Stevens, a musician/actor, playwright, and composer. It was created by Stevens' father, Michael Stevens (1915-2009). The marionette is wearing a black hat, and black and green felt robe with an orange collar. The marionette is approximately 23 in. tall. In fair condition with a few chips in the wood. One wooden marionette of a Man that was used in the work "In the Puppeteer's Wake" by Claudia Stevens, a musician/actor, playwright, and composer. It was created by Stevens' father, Michael Stevens (1915-2009). The man is wearing gray wool pants, a white button-down shirt, and a red wool cap. The pole attached to the marionette is approximately 27 3/4 in. tall. The marionette itself is approximately 18 in. tall. In fair condition with the man's hands starting to crack and some wear on the man's face.One wooden marionette of a women that was used in the work "In the Puppeteer's Wake" by Claudia Stevens, a musician/actor, playwright, and composer. It was created by Stevens' father, Michael Stevens (1915-2009). The women is wearing a red and gold oriental dress and a green wool cap. The pole attached to the marionette is approximately 31 in. tall. The marionette itself is approximately 18 in. tall. In fair condition with slight wear around the face and feet.One wooden marionette of a boy that was used in the work "In the Puppeteer's Wake" by Claudia Stevens, a musician/actor, playwright, and composer. It was created by Stevens' father, Michael Stevens (1915-2009). The boy is wearing a red wool cap, a wool red flannel shirt with blue sleeves, and a blue and white striped pant. The pole of the marionette is approximately 24 in. long. The boy is approximately 12 in. tall. The marionette is in fair condition with wear around the face and hands as well as some minor tears on the sleeves of the shirt. The left lower leg of the boy is loose.One wooden marionette of a girl that was used in the work "In the Puppeteer's Wake" by Claudia Stevens, a musician/actor, playwright, and composer. It was created by Stevens' father, Michael Stevens (1915-2009). The girl has light brown hair, a dress with a gold floral pattern on the top and black on the bottom of the dress. There is a patch of the same floral pattern as the top of the dress sewn into the black bottom of the dress. The girl is also wearing a black scarf. The pole attached to the marionette is approximately 25 1/2 in., while the marionette is approximately 11 in. tall. The marionette is in fair condition with wear around the face and feet, and the head is loose.One wooden marionette stand used to hold the marionettes in the work "In the Puppeteer's Wake" by Claudia Stevens, a musician/actor, playwright, and composer. The piece of wood contains 9 bolts that are used to hold the marionettes in place. On the side of the stand there is written in green "David '86." Approximately 11 7/8 in. x 1 1/2 in. In good condition.
