Scope and Contents

Garth Family documents of the enslaved. Predominately bills of sale listing names of sellers, amount paid, date of purchase, and enslaved names and/or ages. Also, a note of Jesse and Brightberry Garth as cosigners of loan for Jesse B. Garth. Also, a bill of hire for three enslaved persons for a month. 14 items.
