Scope and Contents

1-sheild shaped pin that has a yellow stripe in the middle with black lines outlining the yellow stripe. The rest of the shield is silver with a black outline. There is a white "s" in the middle of a black triangle, which is outlined by a white triangle, on the top left side of the yellow stripe. The back of the pin has a claps and stick pin by which the pin can be affixed to a uniform or shirt. The back of the pin also has a small square that has "© IMPRINTED PRODUCTS/ SANDIEGO (619-541-1100/CHINA" engraved inside it. The pin is an insignia for those who belonged to the 401st Bombardment Group during World War II and belonged to Armand J. Galfo, U.S. Air Force Reserves officer and Assistant Dean of the School of Education at the College of William and Mary between 1965 and 1966. The pin measures approximately 1.125in (length) x 0.875in. (width) and is in good condition. There is some white residue on the silver part on the front of the shield.
