Scope and Contents

1-two sided silk map. Sheet E of the map shows Germany, a protectorate, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary. Sheet C of the map shows Holland, Belgium, France, and Germany. The map belonged to Dr. Armand J. Galfo who served in the Army Air Force during World War II and was also an Assistant Dean at the School of Education. The map measures approximately 29.5in. (length) x 34in. (width). and is in good condition. There are hand-drawn symbols for bombs in locations that were targeted by Galfo's unit. ,The edges of the map have some fraying and there is a blue ink spot and a black spot on the right side of Sheet C. There are also various creases in the map from where it has been folded. Located in University Archives Artifact Collection (UA 13), UA Textiles. UA 2007.063.01
