Gabriella Galt is far happier when her house is full of boarders than when it is empty. Her one purpose is to care for her sister, whose condition rarely changes. Some of Gabriella's immediate family are buried in the Hospital grounds, and she just had a wall put around their graves. Miss Dix visited them in June. Gabriel Williamson and his family are living on a fairly new "country-seat" "on the left hand road to the mill-pond."
