Based in Amherst, Va., Cabell was a notable Virginia politician in the latter half of the 18th century. Notebook contents include merchants' arithmetic problems and various memoranda and notes on accounts, debts, writs, prices, and wights. Dates in the notebook include 1750 and 1779.
