Letter to His Family, October 26, 1808
Scope and Contents
The letter dated October 26, 1808 contains very cordial address to his family about his experience at the College. Some things mentioned are slaves owned by the College, the death of student, Mr. Blount, son of a former Governor of Tennessee. Also mentioned are the escapades of other students such as the planning of a ball without consent.
