Letters by President and Mrs. John F. Kennedy, 29 Aug. 1962 and 16 Nov. 1961, respectively, to Captain and Mrs. Oliver F. Ramsey about their gift to The White House Restoration Project of Sheffield candlesticks with mounted letter on verso from Capt. Ramsay to Pres. Kennedy, 14 Aug. 1962.  Copies of 1964 correspondence of Oliver F. Ramsey with President Kennedy and also with Clifford Currie, Swem Library, about the use of the Kennedy letters in an exhibit.  Typed and signed essay describing the role of civilian personnel in the U.S. Navy by Frank Knox, Secretary of the Navy, October 16, 1943.
