Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

Three Tax ledgers and five Execution Books for Berkeley County, Virginia kept by Abraham Davenport, Sheriff, and Braxton Davenport, Deputy Sheriff. Jefferson County was formed from Berkeley County in 1801 and some of the tax books cover both time periods.
