Scope and Contents
[Nathaniel Beverly Tucker, 1820-1890] in Piccadilly, London, to his wife [Jane Shelton (Ellis) Tucker]. Must not speak of business, but only of his own health and their sons, who are also in England though he has yet to see them. Speaks disappointedly of his colleague’s [Gifford] departure from London to the South and worries he may be embarrassed and possibly obstructed in his operations by Gifford’s leaving. Concerned since he has yet to hear of Gifford’s safe arrival. Accession Number 2008.27
