Scope and Contents
Tucker, Jane S[helton (Ellis)], in Montpelier, to “my beloved children”. Baby Fannie Bland (Tucker, 1852-1855, her daughter) exceedingly ill; wishes sons to pray for sister; news of children; flood in Winchester, UK; hopes family in Winchester avoided the flood damage; hopes oldest sons Jimmy [James Ellis Tucker 1844-1924] and Bevy [Beverley Dandridge Tucker 1846-1930] are not forgetting studies; appeal to sons to remember “God’s eye is always upon you.”
