Fourteen satirical cartoons created by Charles Homer McCutchen, a United States Army private serving in World War II. McCutchen was a resident of Chicago, and worked after the war as a painter and a freelance artist. The cartoons in this group feature commentary on military life, as well as politics.

Mourning picture, ca. 1821, 14 1/2 x 17 5/8 in, done in memory of William Collson (1779-1820). The picture is a watercolor executed by Mary D. Collson and depicts a woman weeping beside the grave of William Collson with a willow tree in the background.

William Collson of Massachusetts was born in 1779 and died in 1820. He was the son of William Collson, Sr. (d. 1827) and Sarah (Hancock) Collson (1740-1834).

Letter from George P.A. Healy, Chicago, to an unknown female where he mentions her Mother's loss of eyesight, says he met her half-brother "when painting the portrait of the present Archbishop of New York" and asks her to tell her Mother "is now paid three hundred dollars in gold for a 25"x35."  He'll be intact when he is able to paint a previously discussed portrait.  January 12, 1868.

Scope and Contents This collection contains letters, diaries, publications and other material collected by Dennis Loy, a gay artist who exhibited works in the Chicagoland area and New York City. Most of the letters were written to Loy by his cousin, American writer and journalist P.J. O'Rourke, and cover such topics as poetry, politics, drugs, art, and gay culture in the 1980s. The Marlene K. Jack papers contains photographs, exhibit catalogs, and articles related to Marlene Jack's artwork at William & Mary and in the Virginia peninsula region. The collection also includes departmental papers related to her career at the first female tenured faculty member in studio art at William & Mary.

This collection consists of a diary compiled by Sharon O. Music from 1993-1997. In the diary, Sharon discusses several of her ex-lovers, working on home improvement projects, New Age thought, and the O.J. Simpson trial. The seller indicates that the author might be a lesbian but needs to be verified. The diary has a picture of Spock from "Star Trek" on the cover. The diary is appoximately 150 pages but only a third of the volume contains entries.
