Scope and Contents Travel diary of Mrs. Thomas H. Bates of Ohio to the British Isles via the Queen Mary in an undetermined year, but post-1945. On June 8, she and her husband took the Akronite from Akron, Ohio to New York City. On June 9, they boarded the Queen Mary and traveled to England. They docked at Southampton and took the train to Hereford to a nephew's house.
