Handwritten note in front of book, "John M. Doggett, Richmond, Va....1888." and "this MS Vocabulary (which I found among the ruins of my dear father's library)...seems to have been presented to him by Rabbi Seixas the author at a time when such works were hard to get in slave-holding Virginia."
