W. A. Goodpasture Letters

Scope and Contents Five letters written by Wilbur A. Goodpasture to his wife during World War II.  Goodpasture was a combat soldier in the United States Army, 3rd Armored Division.  The letters were written in England, shortly before the invasion at Normandy and from Germany.  Two of the letters were written post Victory over Europe Day.  Goodpasture received the Purple Heart, a Bronze Star, and earned five campaign medals. Scope and Contents A World War II Buddy Book, 1945, containing the names, home addresses, service addresses, dates, places met, and comments of individuals serving during WWII. Individuals were met in locales including Dutch Harbor, Alaska and Camp Peary, Virginia. The book included loose photographs of sailors and officers and Christmas cards sent to Richard C. Webster, Clark Webster, and Walter E. Webster. Those have been placed in a separate folder.

H.T. Wilbur Diary
