Series of letters, bound into a black volume with gold embossing around its edge. The letters span from 1828- 1857 but the bulk of the letters are from 1830- 1833. Brown writes to an assortment of recipients and from varied places such as Petersburg, Virginia, Richmond, Virginia, and Baltimore, Maryland. Topics in his letters include politics, Brown was a member of the House of Delegates for Virginia, love, business, and family affairs. One later letter laments the ill health of his father...
