Based on his letters he probably was in the 7th Regiment, West Virginia Infantry. Moore who at the time the letters were written had just moved to Adna Washington from Philadelphia. I believe he also had family in Woodstock Virginia as some of the letters are from there, including his mother’s letters. Many of the letters are written by friends and family back home in Woodstock and some are from Pennsylvania. Some are two pages in length...
