Scope and Contents Ledger (MsV Ad82 ovesize)time book), 1851-1866, and ledger (MsV Ad83), 1865-1866, of the commissary [company store] of D. & H. Forrer, Shenandoah Iron Works, Page County, Virginia. The latter volume lists foodstuffs and goods given out to workers which they often paid for by work. Includes accounts with free blacks.

Benjamin Shunk Papers

Scope and Contents Papers, 1845-1871, of Benjamin Shunk of Carroll County, Maryland. Contains two ledgers which contain the names of the parties involved, status, and disposition of civil court cases in Carroll County, Maryland. All entries are signed by Benjamin Shunk. There are also loose papers that were originally tucked inside of the first ledger. The second half of the second ledger was used as a recordbook for the Evangelical Lutheran Congregation of Taneytown, Marlyand, of which Shunk was secretary.

The "Account of Chickens and Eggs" ledger from August 1, 1930 to December 1936 has accounts for sales from 1931 to 1936 at the end of the ledger. Includes dates of employment, positions for which they were hired, disciplinary records, and reasons for firing employees, among other details. Seth Stowers Ledger

Scope and Contents Ledger, 1769-1811, of Seth Stowers of Hingham, Massachussetts. Includes entries for the sale of tobacco, fish, shoes, cloth, vineagar, and other household products. Also includes entries about the hiring out of day laborers, plowing, glazing, and making barrels. There are also entries of Elijah Stowers during the Revolutionary War, including for an ounce of tea in a hospital. Finally, there is one page of entries in a separate hand that date from 1808 to 1811.
