Miller-Enslow Facsimiles

Scope and Contents Facsimiles were likely made in 1972. Copies of papers of the Miller and Enslow families which are letters, chiefly to William Miller, Newburn, Pulaski County, Va. from relatives (including his brother Daniel Miller) in Iowa, California and Missouri. The letters contain descriptions of California and Missouri and mention "Indian trouble" in Iowa. The collection includes material, 1747-1969, on the Miller, Enslow, and Glendy families.

Morton Genealogical Inquiries Collection

Scope and Contents Correspondence and notes on Virginia families by Mrs. Margaret H. Morton, genealogist, of Farmville, Virginia in response to inquires.  Most of her notes are transcriptions of courthouse records, though she often created family trees for clients and clients sometimes sent their genealogy history to her.

Mrs. Morton's inventory is filed in the first folder, which lists folders not received with the accession.

Includes index of family names and inquirers.

Order of the First Families of Virginia Papers

Scope and Contents Photocopy of the certication of incorporation of the Order of the First Families of Virginia, 1607-1620, with accompanying correspondence designating the College of William and Mary as the home of the Charter. Also included is a document signed by George M. Bryant, Jr., of the State Corporation Commission, which verified that the photocopy was a true copy of the charter.

Photostats likely made in 1979 or 1980. Certificate dated 1980, program dated 1979.
