Tau Chi Literary Society Records

Scope and Contents The collection includes one leather-bound minute book measuring that also contains the society's constitution and a list of members, 1838-1842. There are two pamphlets containing remarks read in honor of the anniversary of the granting of the Royal Charter to the College of William and Mary in 1840 and 1843.

William Tayloe Letter

Scope and Contents Letter dated November 1, 1858 and written by Tayloe to a woman named Lizzie. He describes his boarding situation (he was a student at the College of William and Mary at the time) and mentions the names of other students boarding with him, listing them by their surnames only (including Page, Harrison, and Robinson). Thomas H. Daniel Thesis and Oration

Scope and Contents The collection consists of two items. The first is Daniel's thesis, written in 1831. The front page says "Eulogy on Washington, Intended & Ppresented as the Thesis of Tho. H. Daniel, when an applicant for graudation at Wm & Mary College in 1831." The other is an oration dlivered at the Prince George County Courthouse on July 4, 1834 on the 58th anniversary of American Independence.
