Thomas Marshall Forsyth, Jr. Scrapbooks

Scope and Contents This collection consists of two large scrapbooks. One is an official scrapbook from the 1939 New York World's Fair, featuring the Trylon and Perisphere on the cover. It contains theater programs, photographs,notes, art programs, and clippings from newspapers and magazines. The other book has a treasure chest on the cover and contains newspaper clippings about radio and transcripts of radio broadcasts.

J.T. McAllister's Notebooks on Revolutionary War and Virginia Counties

Scope and Contents Notebooks of typescript or handwritten abstracts of land documents and Revolutionary War records kept by J[oseph] T . McAllister, a lawyer from Warm Springs, Virginia.  Most of the land abstracts are from Bath County, Virginia from the late 1700's to mid 1800's, though some records are from the 1910/11 era for Bath County and 1904 era for Highland County.  The Revolutionary transcripts include many  war service declarations from many Virginia Counties. Scope and Contents Sixty-six letters home from Corporal Samuel H. McNutt of Company H, 12th Pennsylvania Reserves from camps in Maryland and Virginia. See while serving in the Confederate Army.
