Scope and Contents From the Collection:

A petition from the president and professors of the College of William & Mary to Virginia Chief Justice Paul Carrington and other judges requesting that the case between John Bracken and the College be speedily determined. There is also a note from Bracken consenting to having a verdict decided by the October 1787 court term. The petition is signed by College president Bishop James Madison and John Brakcen and includes the Greek temple form of the Collegte seal.

Scope and Contents From the Collection: The collection includes a letter written by Minor to an unknown person on August 2, 1857. In addition to personal news, he disucsses an abolitionist paper, "The Kentucky News." He further describes living in Williamsburg since 1855 to chair the law department. He states that it is a "pleasant place to live in: abounding in people both polite and kind." The collection also includes a copy of Minor's "Reasons for Abolishing the Liquor Traffic Addressed to the People of Virginia"...

Scope and Contents From the Collection:

Appointment of Edmund Gibson, Bishop of London, as Chancellor of the College of William & Mary, dated April 2, 1729. Written in Latin on parchment, it is signed by James Blair, who was both President of William & Mary and Rector of the Board of Visitors in 1729. The appointment also features the original college seal.

There is also a pre-printed statement, explaining the purpose of the form is to keep parents and guardians notified of a student's progress. This collection consists of papers and photographs kept by Ronald D. Anzalone (Class of 1971) from his time as a student at William & Mary. Items include color photographs of the 1967 and 1969 Homecoming celebrations; photos and a script from the William & Mary Theatre production of "The Investigation" in March 1969; and articles and photos related to Anzalone's experience as part of the National Science Foundation-funded Chickahominy River Archaeological Survey in summer 1969.
