Scope and Contents

12-page letter written by a French language teacher, 'Hortense' (no last name given) to her sister, Olympie, describing the "Revolution of the Park" which began in Buenos Aires on July 26, 1890. Also includes another letter by Hortense dated July 5, 1890, inscribed in purple ink. The letters are written in French.  An English transcription of the letter dated 26 July 1890 was provided by the seller and has not been verified for accuracy.

The letters indicate he was a Seabee (the construction battalions the Navy used in WWII).  Of note is the Camp Peary letterhead.
