Scope and Contents From the Series: These scrapbooks cover Godwin's political activities beginning in 1943, his service in Ruritan National and his presidency of that organization in 1952, his gubernatorial campaign of 1965, educational conferences, and first and second terms as governor. These are listed chronologically from 1943 through January, 1978. A number of scrapbooks have been retained by Governor and Mrs. Godwin and are not included with those transferred to The College of William and Mary.
