"Original 1927 handwritten diary of Norman Sartain. Norman Sartain was a student at the Palmyra School in Palmer, Texas, in the mid to late 1920s. It has 46 pages (front and back) filled with diary entries through 1928. He lisst the times each day that he arrived to school and things his teachers and classmates did. He also mentions that "Tompson's Negroes have been picking for us. I can't pick any cotton this fall.""
