The collection contains programs, brochures and media guides related to the women's lacrosse team at the College of William and Mary from the years 1973-2010. There are also two photographs of individual players. Additionally, publications related to the United States Women's Lacrosse Association as well as the College of William and Mary women's field hockey team are also present. Lacrosse sticks, game footage on VHS, DVD, and mini-DV, artifacts for the education collection, and textiles related to the women's Lacrosse team are also present in different locations.
This collection is open to all researchers. Manuscript collections and archival records may contain materials with sensitive or confidential information that is protected under federal or state right to privacy laws and regulations, such as the Virginia Public Records Act (Code of Virginia. § 42.1-76-91); and the Virginia Freedom of Information Act (Code of Virginia § 2.2-3705.5). The women's lacrosse team at the College of William and Mary has participated in intercollegiate competition since 1970. The team has made seven appearances in the NCAA women's lacrosse tournament.
