Papers of General William Booth Taliaferro of Gloucester, Virginia relating to political, legal and business affairs including a number of items relating to his unsuccessful candidacy for Governor of Virginia in 1877. Includes a few items of his wife and printed pamphlets. 200 items. Also includes letter certifying William B. Taliaferro as an agent of the "American Colonization Society" dated October 25, 1865.
