Scope and Contents
This volume has postcards of hotels and other notes scattered throughout it. Begins on January 1, 1940 where he writes of eventually wanting to retire in Virginia. He gives detail of his cross country trip to Virginia in the summer of 1940. He mentions first blackout in Los Angeles, California on December 10, 1941, a few days after Pearl Harbor on December 7.
