Item 1: "Birthnight Ball" Invitations, 1839 January 22 Two invitations to the "Birthnight Ball," a dance celebrating the birthday of George Washington, given by the students at the College of William and Mary, addressed to Miss McDowell and Miss Sally McDowell, Abdington, Va. On item signed by Winston Radford.
