Hamilton Family Papers

Papers pertaining to the Hamilton Family of Norge, James City County, Virginia and related families. George Fisher Harrison Papers

The papers of George Fisher Harrison contain three of his essays or orations presented while a student at the College of William and Mary between 1840-1843.  One oration on ancient history was delivered on July 4, 1841, an essay on "Woman" was read before the Franklinian Society on December 11, 1841, and a Valedictory to the Tau Chi Society was read on July 4, 1843.

J. M. Hooker Sworn Statement

Scope and Contents

Sworn statement of J. M. Hooker, Commonwealth Attorney for Patrick County, Virginia, stating that he was a student at the College of William and Mary for two years with Herbert S. Larrick of Frederick County, Virginia and that during the 1892-1893 session, Larrick served as janitor to one of the literary societies. The statement was taken and signed by R. E. Woolwine, deputy clerk for Patrick County. The statement is also signed by Hooker.

"How Old is Old" Children's Booklet

One spiral-bound booklet titled "How Old is Old?," a compilation of drawings and writings by children expressing what they thought of being old. The authors were students ranging from pre-kindergarteners through sixth graders at St. Edward's School in Vero Beach, Fl. John S. Spencer Letter
