Scope and Contents Photograph album, circa 1910-1919, of an unidentified resident of Hampton, Virginia. Pictures are primarily of African Americans and include shots of teachers in a summer program at Hampton Institute, a man in a baseball uniform, formal posed pictures, a trip to Alabama, tobacco leaves, and of the teachers and students of the Lott Carey School, among many others. Some photographs have notations beside them, while the majority do not. Names recorded are S. Vaughn, R. Whiting, L. Bass, S....
