In reply to the university's inquiring as to whether or not he has fulfilled his pledge to teach, he states that he's been unable to get employment at a school, though he's applied to two different ones. Two letters sent to William James Young in September 1911 concerning employment at William & Mary. The first letter is from Registrar, H. L. Bridges, and dated September 5, 1911. It acknowledges receiving Young's acceptance of his position of Physical Director, Physician, and Coach. The second letter is from President Lyon G. Tyler and dated September 7, 1911. It discusses the condition of employment and includes Young's salary.
